With the news of Level 4 lockdown ending soon, we wanted to reach out with some tips and tools for reopening your business in a post-lockdown environment.
Like us, you’re probably keen to get your business back to ‘normal’ as soon as possible, but for the foreseeable future, we all have to change the way we're working to ensure we are all protected from Covid-19.
In anticipation of moving to Level 3 and beyond, here are some things you should consider:
1. Tell your customers you’re open and how they can do business with you.
Use window graphics and footpath signs to show you're open or providing a takeaway service. If you’re closed for face-to-face sales, large posters or window graphics can promote your online store.
2. Highlight the procedures customers should follow when entering your premises.
Use window graphics, posters, signboards and footpath signs to let people know how to keep safe.
3. Display the actions you are taking to keep customers and staff safe.
Use posters, counter-top signs and rollup banners to inform customers of your safety and hygiene procedures.
4. Provide clear signage and directions for customers to follow instore.
Signboards and floor graphics can effectively show one-way direction systems or where to stand and queue to maintain physical distancing.
5. Protect your staff and customers.
Install physical barriers like clear acrylic sneeze shields at all points-of-sale, and hand-sanitiser stands at entrances.
6. Use a logbook or app to record customer details for contact tracing.
Setup a logbook and hand-sanitiser station at entrances, or posters and rollup banners showing how to use your tracking app.
7. Reminders for staff about new safe working practices.
Use posters and stickers on doors, mirrors and common areas to remind staff to wash hands, avoid physical contact and follow distancing procedures. Use floor graphics to encourage physical distancing and mark off zones such as staff-only areas.
8. Make plans for Level 2.
Non-essential retail businesses can open stores— work out which signage you will need and how you will interact with customers in a safe manner.
We have a range of safety signage which you can order as posters, signboards, rollup banners and footpath signs. They can be customised with your own branding, or we can tailor-make signage to your requirements.
Together we can get through this difficult time, if there is anything we can help with please don’t hesitate to contact us.
